When you let life and love reign, you defeat hate and terror. Brussels shows us how we confront hate and how humanity is stronger in solidarity.
Here is a city’s portrait. This city that wants to fight against terror but also against all the people who are afraid. Terrorist attacks happen, but people have to react.
After the silence, in Brussels life comes back: people in the streets, busy shops and a lot of tourists.
But citizens are the first actors of this reaction. They make the difference between an empty space and an active city, beating heart of Europe.
The girl we met in the square, she said: “We don’t have to be afraid of anything, because that means we gonna stay at home doing nothing. Instead we enjoy our life, our neighborhood and we love this city, we love Brussels.” Brussels is strong!
