“I am Marcio, an EVS Volunteer from Brazil for Initiative et Développement Citoyen (IDC) based in Camping Le Belvedere. My EVS project started in April 2016 and will end in February 2017. I work as a receptionist in the Camping Le Belvedere and I participate in many activities such as teaching in a local school, training with youngsters, youth exchanges.

I also took part to the local event as a logistic staff.

The “Medieval Weekend” in Camping Le Belvedere was a local event,  and also my first time wearing medieval clothes. Do you know what I felt? I felt like I was in the middle age or in a scene of Game of Thrones, my favorite TV series. I felt so excited because I discovered medieval food and beverages, saw how the war looks like in the middle age and I also played ancient games, made of stones and wood, with some kids.

It’s nice that volunteering sometimes brings you to discover things that you would never even imagined. So, that’s why to travel and take part in EVS program can really make you grow up in several ways that you can not plan.”
