“As Taylor Hanson said “having a baby is a life-changer. It gives you a whole other perspective on why you wake up every day”. Happiness is something that comes from our inner heart. To be happy we don’t need big things or small things.
My name is Hajni Veres and I am 38 years old. I leave in Debrecen, 38 km away from Hortobagy.
I was working in a different association earlier, mostly on environmental projects, nature protection, some cultural projects and bit of photography. And I’m volunteering in Madarpark bird hospital for 10 years. My responsibilities are layout designing and editing in the communication department.
I have a 9 months old daughter, her name is Mira which means miracle. Since she is my very first child I didn’t know anything. I was afraid of take the responsibility of a mother. It is very easy to read lots of books and articles but we’ll never know what it is to have a baby until we do not practice it or a woman can tell me about her having a baby. So, it’s just our experiences and journey of life, so we have to feel that we are gifted to be a mother.
Now she is small but I can understand what she wants and what are her needs. The first step is make sure that she is healthy and happy. Then, when she will grow up she will have a bunch of choices to choose for her life. I will never force her to do things that she doesn’t want to do because I understand that her choices can be different than mine. Her happiness is my happiness.
I have started to write a diary and songs about her when she was in my womb and I would like to give her this diary when she will become a teenager as a present. All I want is just to see her having a happy life.”
