What is VolunTube

What is VolunTube

VolunTube is a European Voluntary Service short term project between two or more promoting organizations with a focus on video-making.

Our vision

We try to develop an international volunteer video platform available for all those who are interested in uploading their own videos and share with others their volunteering experience.

How does it work?

Sixteen volunteers, eight associations and eight different countries to discover.

The associations send the participants to the training organized by IDC in France. The training aims to develop and strengthen the video making skills of the volunteers. It also includes a workshop about online communication and blogging technique.

After the training, the associations exchange the volunteers between them. In 2016 the combinations were: France -Indonesia; Italy-Cambodia; Hungary-Nepal; Belgium-Vietnam.

Two volunteers of each country visit an association of the matched welcoming country. The aim is to produce video-reportings, blog articles, and pictures useful to promote the activities of workcamps, youth exchanges, and volunteering projects taking place in the hosting country.

Do I need to pay to participate?

All the project is financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ program that is composed of EVS short term and long term.

Will the countries change?

For the second edition of the program, the participant countries will change.
